Apulia, in Italian Puglia … a wonderful region

Renting a luxury villa in Puglia is the ideal solution that will allow you to discover the wonders of a fantastic region. You can visit the city of Bari getting lost in the alleys of the historic center, Alberobello, Locorotondo and Ostuni or move to the crystalline beaches of Salento and in the evening visit the baroque of magnificent Lecce

Known as “Le Puglie”, this region can be considered a land in the plural.
Puglia, the heel of the boot, looks like an enchanting region, with wonderful beaches from the sandy Torre dell’Orso and Porto Cesario to the rocky coasts in Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca.

the National Park of the Murge and that of the Gargano with the wild Umbra Forest, the salt pans and the lakes. Also worth visiting are the marine reserve of Torre Guaceto, the deep ravines of Laterza and the large sinkholes of Altamura which, with their suggestive landscapes, characterize the interior of the region. Puglia offers numerous places that tell the origins of this land, from prehistory to Magna Graecia, from the imperial age to the Renaissance, to the glories of the baroque of Lecce and Salento.
Trulli, like those of the Itria Valley, testify to the region’s rural past.

The provinces of Puglia are: Bari (capital), Barletta Andria Trani, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce, Taranto.

WHAT SEE

There is something for everyone to see in Puglia. You can visit several sanctuaries, such as that of San Giovanni Rotondo in Foggia, where St. Pio of Pietralcina lived his faith. Alberobello is an essential step.

In addition to the trulli, Puglia boasts another UNESCO site in the city of Andria: Castel del Monte, a unique masterpiece of medieval architecture built by Frederick II of Hohenstaufen in the 13th century. A curiosity: the eight is the “guide number” of the castle. There are eight sides of the plan of the castle, eight rooms on the ground floor and first floor arranged to form an octagon and there are also eight imposing towers, obviously octagonal in shape. The islands of the Tremiti Archipelago are beautiful: San Domino, San Nicola, Capraia, Cretaccio and Pianosa.
The two seas of Puglia offer opportunities for holidays by the sea. Santa Maria di Leuca is another destination to visit.

Different types of pasta: fenescecchie, troccoli, sagne ‘ncannuate, cicatadde varied. The combination of pasta and vegetables is excellent, such as strascinati with cabbage and fried bacon and spaghetti with green beans, tomatoes and cacioricotta.
